Brilliant đź‘Źđź‘Ź

I use this often, works for synths/fills too. You can also freeze and flatten the new audio track instead of recording into another new track 🙂

I've also done this with a plucked guitar sample as a lead in for the next bar for a beat drop. Fantastic trick

i usually just freeze and flatten out of laziness, but is recording it into a new track that much better though?

@ThatNewGuy2024  4 months ago

Wow, so that's how it's made. I really need Ableton

Ah yes, love this trick. I have used it many times. Works great for synths as well or any instrument really. It can give a very dreamy vibe to your track.

I'd say this an amateur or common trick. It's one that's so intuitive that most people have thought of it on their own, but maybe thats just me.

Wow, i've been wondering how to do this, especially because I've noticed that artists use it with melodies. My favorite artist Sunny Lax will use this as a trick to add melody to the intro without actually revealing the melody. This keeps your cards hidden until the time is right.

Great video! I've watched quite a few explaining this concept but this is the most concise and helpful!
