Hi Bolo. I have my Kronos 3 connected up to my MPC XL. I don't use the USB as apparently the timing is not as tight as the DIN. I also use the Kronos as the master clock as it has less j     See More l, according to Chat GPT). I have the MPC audio out into the Kronos and vice-versa. So I can sample either way. I run bass and guitar into the MPC inputs 1&2 and can either choose to record them on the MPC or pass through to the Kronos. So far, I have taken the mixer out of the equation although I may replace it in order to add my Wavestate back, as well as other options.
There's a fair bit or setting up of the template in the MPC under the inspector, to ensure that the MPC can act as a proper multi-timbral module. But once set it is good to go. The MIDI on the Kronos is much more straight forward LOL... once you actually find the tab that gets you to the right page.

So many options there! It's a very sweet set up and allows the strengths of both machines and workflows to shine; the MPC is great for bar based looping sequences and the Kronos for straight up freestyle recording. Of course, there is more to both machines than that :)
I have yet to see how the MPC responds to the time signature changes that can be performed in the Kronos, bar by bar. (a major failing so farin the MPC is that yur stuck in the time sig you setat the start of the project). Perhaps I will experiment tomorrow :)    See Less
