Firstly, I think that if you need to train     See More to hear say subtle changes of your synths at 5Khz, then the chances are that 99% of listeners will also not notice, as they don't have trained hearing either. Secondly, I suspect many of us have damaged hearing (too much loud heavy metal in my youth) and I certainly have quite poor hearing at certain frequencies, and therefore a visual analysis, comparing to the reference is for me by far the best approach, as trusting my ears would simply be bonkers.    See Less
