They're obvi     See More erent in terms of polyphony and the keybed, but I wonder about the build quality and whether or not there are other substantial compromises in either direction? I'm not the type to avoid an instrument solely on the basis of being made by Behringer. The UB-Xa seems to have a great sound, but I wonder if I'd later regret not going with the Oberheim product from the start for reliability, or just being an overall better long-term investment. I'm definitely a "sound first" kind of person, but do still care about having a working instrument several years down the road. I've used Behringer since the 90's, from the Powerplay, to the Edison, to the 10 MultiCom's inserted on all 24 channels & 8 busses on my Soundcr     See More 24x8 and later on my Soundcraft Ghost 24x8. No one touches them in the price-to-performance category, in my opinion. They specialize in making really good stuff at affordable prices.    See Less
